The little town of Keystone was not able to afford to build two church buildings, so in 1908 they built a Combined Catholic and Protestant church. Bluffs southwest of Bridgeport.Courthouse and Jail RocksSioux Army Depot, outside Sidney. Over 800 “igloos” were built during World War II to store and hide ammunition. They were built into the ground and sod was planted for roofs, which were undetectable from the air. The Andy Griffith Show was set in Mayberry NC, which was loosely based on Mount Airy NC, Andy Griffith’s hometown. There are a number of Mayberry related sites around town.
