Chicoteague Island Museum VA

Chincoteague Island is a small Island and town off the eastern shore of Virginia. It is well-known for its wild pony swims in late July that attract thousands of visitors to the island.
Misty of Chincoteague is a children’s book published in 1947 about the Beebe family that raises a pony born to a wild horse.
The Chincoteague Museum has a display about Misty and her offspring Stormy.
